The place is REALLY hard to find (local secret?) Don't trust google maps, it's situated in the parking lot behind a storage facility. I think we came on an off day... the food looked WAY BETTER than it tasted. Dry meats, soggy flautas, bland rice and beans (nothing special). * Oh and I had fruit flies in my iced tea and they didn't do anything about it and acted like it was not a big deal, they just gave me another cup and told me I could get some soda instead. I told them that I didn't want soda and they just shrugged their shoulders *no refund for the tea I couldn't drink* High Point: They had fresh Chicharrones (fried pork rinds) with plenty of meat still attached for $9.99/lb. That comes to about $1 a piece (a little pricey), but a tasty treat that I've never seen anywhere else!

This is a great little restaurant sharing a space with a meat counter and gift shop. Be aware that Apple maps will lead you astray. The restaurant is behind Subway off the highway, not off Avenue A. I stopped by with my partner on a Wednesday for lunch. We were greeted by a friendly waiter who told us to take a seat and then promptly brought us complimentary chips and salsa. We ended up ordering a regular burrito and tacos (fish, al pastor, and chicken). According to my partner the burrito was tasty. My fish taco was large with a generous amount of fried fish. It was excellent. The al pastor was very good, though the chicken was a bit on the dry side. Tacos cost $2 to $3.50. They do take credit cards, but there is a $0.50 charge added. Service is very friendly and fast. I'll be coming back sometime soon to try the flautas.

I have just finished dinner here and I must say just how much I enjoyed my meal . I have dined here several times and have enjoyed there food. Nice people, a home atmosphere, just a great place to eat authentic Mexican food! Tonight I ordered the Menu do an it was fantastic. It came in a large bowl and a side plate of Onion's, Cilantro, and two lime wedges. Very tasty...

Damn good tacos! This place is not fancy, but it has a nice family run feel to it. We ate chicken wrapped with luscious corn tortillas, sprinkled with onion and cilantro.

Awesome food! The salsa they bring out with the chips was delicious. I had the chicken taco and enchilada combo. It was excellent! The restaurant is in a store which sells Mexican candy and snacks. We stocked for the rest of our road trip.

Family run hospitality. This is my ultimate favorite Mexican in the Medford area....it's kinda like going to a favorite aunt's place and getting fed up. I'm a huge fan of the carne asada plate. The tacos are also excellent. I've done the lengua (beef tongue....try it before you judge!). The fish tacos are simply excellent! The fun part is that Chris Sr., and Jr. will come to recognize you in short order. You will be greeted like the aforementioned family, probably get a nickname, and be introduced to foods you never would have tried alone. Sr. convinced me to try "chicharritos"....(think the biggest hunk of crispy bacon, EVER!!).....my doctor was less than amused while doing the cholesterol screen, but this stuff is AWESOME! Buy it by the pound....but strive for moderation. Afterward, you can browse the store. I bought some preseasoned carne asada, hit it on the BBQ, and looked like I knew what I was doing! Highly recommend this place!

Great little Mexican joint with a small store next door and a meat counter as well. I go here a couple times a month and enjoy it and leave "stuffed" every time. Everything here is great.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
